If you miss your scheduled time, the app enters a "Grace Period" (e.g., 24 hours). We will send push notifications to your phone reminding you to check in. If the grace period expires with no response, an email is sent to your trusted contacts.
No. Your contacts are only notified if you fail to check in after your grace period expires. Normal usage is completely silent for them.
Demumuu's logic is server-side. Even if your phone is broken, lost, or out of battery, the system knows you haven't checked in and will eventually trigger the alert protocol.
No. Demumuu is a passive safety check. It is not designed for immediate medical emergencies (like a fall detection system) and does not contact 911.
